Graduate Web Developer
Leeds, West Yorkshire
upto £25000 per annum.
Type: Permanent

We are looking for passionate graduates to join our Full Stack (JavaScript/C#) web developer scheme with a collaborative team of experienced engineers.
Do you have the potential to be a great developer?
At High Speed Training we make online learning accessible to everyone on as many platforms as possible. Our client base is bursting with big name brands from across the UK (and further), with 122 courses, and over 500,000 certificated learners.
As our company grows, we need you to help us deliver the latest features, improve usability, and enhance performance across a wide range of devices.
What will you be doing?
Our graduate scheme offers successful candidates the ability to develop specialist knowledge in areas of interest; the chance to work in a business where you can influence how we work; a collaborative working environment where you can discuss and resolve coding issues; time set aside for training and personal development, and a Pluralsight account to aid your learning.
If successful, you’ll begin a development programme with two distinct strands to support your career development. This blended approach has consistently proved the most effective way to ensure the successful development of our previous graduates.
The first strand involves working in micro-teams composed of one or two of your colleagues where you’ll work on a unique mini-project. The project allows you to gain skills in a consequence-free, fun environment. Within this project, you’ll be encouraged to manage yourself and your project, trusting your intuition and your judgement on the best way to get things done.
In the second strand, you’ll be paired with one of our experienced developers working alongside them to learn our systems and what’s required of the role. You’ll undertake their day-to-day workload of feature development, maintenance, and bug-fixing on our live products to expose you to working life in a self-motivating technical team.
Interested?
To be considered, you will:
- Hold a postgraduate degree (MSc/PhD) in a STEM subject like Computer Science, Maths, Physics or Engineering.
- Feel confident problem solving and discussing complex problems with peers.
- Enjoy the process involved in grasping technical concepts.
- Be motivated by challenges.
We want our company to reflect our diverse customer base and we are actively encouraging applicants of all genders and backgrounds with a relevant degree to apply for our scheme. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, nationality, gender, orientation, age, marital status or disability status.
Benefits:
In addition to a starting salary of £25,000, we’ve got lots to offer you, including:
- 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- A new mobile phone and contract.
- A relaxed working atmosphere with an enviable computer setup.
- Regular staff social events.
- Free life insurance and optional private medical cover.
- A generous pension contribution scheme and childcare vouchers.
If this role sounds like a fit for you, we would encourage you to apply.
